    The Administrative & Communications Coordinator provides administrative, communications, and organizational support for Vesey Lane Goods. This position is responsible for ensuring that internal and external communications remain timely, consistent, and professional while supporting organizational operations, scheduling, marketing communications, and community engagement efforts.

    The Administrative & Communications Coordinator serves as a key support partner to the Creative Director by managing calendars, coordinating communications, supporting partnership outreach, maintaining digital communications platforms, and helping ensure that community members, customers, supporters, and partners remain informed about organizational activities.

    This position may also serve as a point of coordination and support for communications interns, volunteers, and contracted communications professionals working on behalf of the organization.

    Primary Responsibilities

    1. Administrative Support

      Manage and maintain the Creative Director's calendar.

    This hybrid position combines community outreach, event coordination, partnership

    development, and relationship management. While some responsibilities require attendance at

    events, meetings, and programs throughout Detroit, much of the work may be performed

    remotely.

    The Event & Community Engagement Lead helps strengthen the visibility, partnerships, and

    community impact of Vesey Lane Goods while serving as an important bridge between

    organizational leadership and the communities we serve.
